LTTE: Laura Bush is "classy", would never tell anyone to "shove it"
Edited on Thu May-26-05 03:47 PM by Bluebear
This LTTE perfectly illiustrates the disconnect. Horse masturbation is 'undeniably classy'. "Shove it" is not.

====

One word came instantly to mind after reading J.P. Devine's column from this past weekend (May 8): petty.

It's apparent that he can't stand the fact that President Bush won re-election with more votes than Bill Clinton ever received. He can't stomach any positive accomplishments of any of the Bushes. The media raves about first lady Laura Bush's delightful "performance" at a recent dinner, and Devine petulantly points out that her remarks were written by someone else (that's news?) and she was "coached."

The fact is, Laura Bush gave terrific, humorous remarks at a Washington function. She is an undeniably classy first lady who would never tell anyone to "shove it." Devine's pettiness is wearisome.

1. Nah, she wouldn't say "shove it" -- she'd say "milking a male horse."

Getting off without being charged = priceless.

5. And last week when the Jews AND the Muslims were almost
rioting against her, bet she was too classy to say something along the lines of "get me the fuck out of here".

6. Backwards perspective?
I think that this woman has her definitions of "classy" mixed up. Teresa Heinz Kerry is world-class, whereas Laura Bush, as the wife of a drunken, cocaine-addicted cowboy, is somewhat pathetic.

7. Ask Kathryn
if she knows what "t-boning" is.

Why do these dickwads always bring up Bill Clinton in some absurd, irrelevant, self-serving proclamation that has nothing to do with anything?

Yeah, Laura's a real elegant broad.

She knows her way around a horse's dick. She married one.

8. Cool Kitty!!
No seriously folx, do you ever wonder just how much she knows? I mean, would she still be with him if she knew exactly what he has been up to? If she does know, then she is just as bad as the asshole himself!!

10. She's our Marie Antoinette.
Edited on Thu May-26-05 04:06 PM by Cleita
While the French were starving, and close to revolution, demanding bread, she was buying jewelry, staging little plays at Versaille and in general enjoying sybaritic luxury while she turned a blind eye to the condition of the populace and what her husband the king was doing.

I think Laura knows but prefers to enjoy her privileged status. If it's not her fault, why should she care?

12. Uh huh.
Yeah, real classy.
When I hear that word used to describe someone I'm reminded of the thick, decidedly un-classy New England accent that I grew up around. Sort of like the sketch on SNL with Jimmy Fallon and Rachael Dratch and their love of Nomaaaaah...
Don't get me wrong, not everyone from New England has a unpleasant accent - when I come home after being away for a year, a Boston accent makes me teary. It's just that in my experience, "classy" sounds anything but when it's trotted out as evidence of someone who is better than the rest of us.
I happen to think Laura, her spouse and her offspring have NO class. Class requires manners and being able to fit into any kind of situation with people who may have a different upbringing or culture without being condescending.
Jokes about jerking off a horse automatically disqualify you. Hillary has class, but the do-nothing Laura lovers could never admit that.

:boring:

13. Horse molestation is always good for a "classy" laugh
In the same way that joking about not finding WMDs--when hundreds of American soldiers are killed and thousands more maimed over lies--is also good for a million "classy" yuk-yuks.

17. they never let go, do they?
To take a slam at THK apropos of nothing is just so typical of these graceless winners (and I use the word winners with appropriate scepticism).

I guess my definition of classy doesn't include raising two drunken, unemployed tramps, btw.

22. What's wrong with telling someone to "shove it"?
That's somebody's idea of class? A frozen grin and unquestioning obedience to her husband? That kind of Junior League-style womanhood is neither classy nor admirable. And it's decidedly NOT mainstream.
