Bottom line on Bolton.
According to the republicans, mental abuse and cruelty toward those who work for you is not a serious moral problem. Think about that for a minute or two...

1. Of course it's not
What they do with their "property" is their business, isn't it? :sarcasm:

2. Actually...
Edited on Thu May-26-05 06:10 PM by Peachhead22
...Bolton's mishandling of classified intercepts, illegal spying on American citizens, lying to Congress and fudgeing intelligence data is more to the point than Bolton merely being an asshole.

If 'Pubs are O.K. with Bolton I guess they're O.K. with those things.

on edit: grammar

6. A "kiss-up/kick-down" guy
Could be spun by the 'Pubs as just the thing a supposedly "corrupt" U.N. needs. I'd love to see the 'Pubs try to spin a "security risk who lies to Congress". They're crazy if they try. We'll hand 'em their a**.

I agree, a "diplomat" and boss like Bolton is a really bad thing. But that may not be enough to turn the public against him. The other stuff will and possibly taint some 'Pubs as an added benefit.

7. Mental abuse and cruelty toward the help
is standard operating procedure for Republicans. Can't let the little people get too uppity, you know.
