4. The Big Dog doesn't rule. He's a phony, politically to the right of Nixon. |
|
It speaks to the political childishness of Democrats that they can't even see how badly this slick fraud handed their country over to the right wing.
All this Clinton worship is for fools who are charmed by a telegenic manner. In terms of policy, Clitnon was not much different than Poppy Bush. Most of the difference was limited to style.

5. You are 100% correct.... |

..and now Clinton is doing his best to submarine front-running Howard Dean. I guess Howard is starting to pose too great a threat to Hillary's 2008 chances. But then again....when has Clinton EVER put the party ahead of his own personal agenda?

8. Clinton should have been |
|
out there in 2000. Sorry, but most of us who voted for him in 92 and 96 would have voted for him again in 2000 if we could have. He makes more sense in one 10 minute speech than most politicians in a year do. He did a lot in his time in office for us. No, he can't make it perfect. No one can.
I'm thrilled he's back out in public. We need him. I don't for a minute believe he's trying to backstab the Democratic party so Hillary can run in 2008. I just think he's sat back enough and can't stand the stupidity of some in our party that have kept their mouths shut and their votes for sale for political reasons to the Republican party. If the Dem's who voted to give Bush his blank check hadn't been chicken little's, we wouldn't be in this mess.

10. "Back out in public'? |
|
Were you out of the country last fall when Clinton campaigned HEAVILY for the Democratic Senate candidates and 6 out of 8 of them lost; several of whom should have won easily? This man hasn't shut up since the day he left office. He is killing the Democratic party.

6. Right, RichM, the 8 year Republican Inquisition was all a big conspiracy |

between Bush and Clinton. And that healthcare plan was an elaborate ruse to help the Pharma Industry.
Talk about taking one for the team.... :eyes:

9. Clinton would have been a more Democratic President if RW hadn't started |
|
Edited on Sat Sep-20-03 01:30 PM by KoKo01
on him from the day he came into office. I remember when the private plane attacked the White House......I think he'd only been in the WH a few months and Secret Service was so nervous about security that they made them block off PA Avenue. The RW Media Whores howled and howled about how he blocked the "People" from the White House. And,as late as after the "Selection" occurred Larry Kudlow (the RW Business mouthpiece) said on CNBC that the first thing Bush would do as the new President would be to open PA Avenue back up to traffic so that the people could come back to the WH now that Clinton was packing his bags." (We see what happened with that one, only childrens' groups are allowed in the WH, or people with connections).
Plus, Hillary's Health Care Task Force...remember how she had to release the records of whom she had met with. Cheney has yet to release his full record of whom he met with on the Energy Task Force.....but the RW Repugs claim that....Cheney is VP and Hillary was only the First Lady and not elected.
I think we would have had some form of Universal Health Care, better Enviromental Enforcement and maybe some adjustments to NAFTA (which I really can't forgive him for) if he hadn't been hounded by the RW and then fell into the Monica Trap.
So, while I have my problems with Clinton (NAFTA and the MEDIA give away) I think he was a far better President than Poppy who was a fool run by Jim Baker and the rest of Reagan's crowd who took care of his buddies...while ruining the economy and starting Gulf War I to please his corporate friends.....setting the stage for where we are today.
Our Spinless Democratic Reps in Congress and the Senate are more to blame than Clinton. So many of them are on the corporate dole they don't have any Party affiliation except to themselves.
Cliton was pragmatic and a politician who made the best out of what was an impossible situation. His human frailties under the pressure unfortunately taint his memory more than the reality of what his core policies might have been.......might have been.
Just my thoughts.....which sound like a rant.....LOL's At least this rant clarified my own thoughts on Clinton...which have lately been waivering like many DU'ers who are just so sick and tired of what Bush has put us through, we are looking to blame someone!
