Poll question: King Fahd: Dead Already, or Not Dead Yet?

Saudis pray for ailing king, await news
RIYADH (Reuters) - Saudis prayed on Saturday for King Fahd and anxiously awaited news of their monarch one day after he was admitted to hospital suffering from pneumonia and fever.

Mohammed Sulaiman, a 47 year-old businessman, went even further in his speculation.

"I actually think he is already dead and that the authorities are holding out on telling the people so that the news doesn't come as too much of a shock," he said, sipping coffee at a roadside cafe.

Sulaiman said it was unusual for the government to issue a statement saying the king had been seen by doctors. "In the past the government would wait until after the king had been discharged from hospital before telling people."

1. Will bush attend the funeral?
Edited on Sat May-28-05 05:45 AM by ClintonTyree
That's a pretty stupid question, actually. Every member of the bush family will attend. He's their benefactor, after all. It'll be like a family member dying for them, probably even more so. If Neil died I doubt they'd feel as bad.

9. He'll probably be a pallbearer...
...and throw himself on the coffin at the cemetery, wailing, "Daddy! Daddy!"

Reports say King Fahd of Saudi Arabia is dead
May 27, 2005, 22:31 GMT

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia (UPI) -- Reliable sources in the Saudi capital Riyadh said Friday King Fahd is dead, reports the Saudi Institute.

King Fahd of Saudi Arabia has been dead since late Wednesday, according to several well-placed sources in the capital Riyadh who spoke to the Saudi Institute, a pro-democracy think tank in Washington, on condition of anonymity.

The government also canceled all military leave, "a sure sign that something is happening," said the Saudi Institute.

There was no confirmation of heightened security alert reported by some western media and denied by the government, who also denied the king is dead, but said he was in the hospital.

6. The confusion is caused by his being neither dead nor alive.
He has joined the undead, the fate of all old bloodsuckers.

7. Not Dead
Dubby still has time to kiss his ass and recieve a nice stipend.

I think Fahd may be running with the elusive Zarqawi (man of many faces and injuries).
