A Question for DU Veterans re: Vietnam Veterans of America

I've never joined any veteran's organization, but am now considering it. I am a Vietnam era vet, but not a combat vet. Unlike 'some people we know' I can produce my DD-214, still have my Navy ID card, and still remember my service number by heart.

Is anyone familiar with this group? Would I, as a Democrat who is strongly (violently?) opposed to the cabal and idiot son, be uncomfortable joining them?

1. Don't know about VVA, but I just joined Veterans for Peace.

There're pretty active in my area, which is the main reason I joined.

2. VVA seems to be a good organization

We had a chapter in the prison I was in 20 years ago. They weren't very political then. I don't know about now.
