Mike Cook: 'Into the dominion'
Posted on Monday, May 30 @ 08:20:40 EDT
By Mike Cook, Merrimack River Current
"I realize this is the end of my Air Force career." ................
What has Capt. Morgan done that is ending the career she dreamt of all her life?
Capt. Morgan had the courage - her superiors say "nerve" - to publicly express her concerns about the level of proselytizing at the academy by evangelical Christians in positions of leadership and authority.
So large is the problem, an Air Force task force arrived at the academy recently to investigate charges that officers, staff members, and senior cadets are pressuring non-evangelical cadets to embrace their ultra-conservative, religious ideology.
This story is just another example of how pervasive the influence of Christian extremism is becoming in this country..............

2. Didn't the Task Force declare "Nothing to see here..." |
|
"Nope, nothing going on like that at ALL here...Praise Jesus!"
Pretty scary when people who have access to "noo-koo-lar weppins" have an "Armageddon Complex"....
Not to worry, you say? They don't have the launch codes? Well, who DOES have the codes?
The guy with the briefcase that follows BUSH around, that's who...

4. He speculates (with others) that Jr may be Dominion. |
|
......Dominionism is a little-known, but very powerful force within the broader evangelical community. It counts some very heavy hitters among its members. They include Pat Robertson; Focus on the Family's James Dobson; former GOP presidential candidate Gary Bauer; convicted Watergate felons Chuck Colson and Gordon Liddy; Paul Crouch, founder of TBN, the world's largest television network; and a virtual army of radio and televangelists, right-wing talk radio and television hosts, and an unsettling number of GOP-elected officials at the local, state, and national levels. There is some speculation George W. Bush may himself be a dominionist. Speculation about that possibility was heightened among evangelicals on Dec. 24, 2001, when Pat Robertson stepped down as the president of the Christian Coalition.

6. That is probably true. Chimpy likes to hang with those folks. |
|
And he constantly panders to them with all that "Faith-Based" bullshit.
"... an unsettling number of GOP-elected officials at the local, state, and national levels."
Like the Dominionists getting elected to our local School Boards?
There's no budget, no other business being done, no new textbooks, and why?
Because the Board spensds all its time being dragged down the "Inteligent Design" sinkhole by some crack-pot member who doesn't even have their kids IN the public system...
