9. 3 times Hannity said you ought to be ashamed of yourself--giving aid
and comfort to the enemy--he says by saying such things.

14. isn't "giving comfort and aid" to someone who does not pose a threat
the Christian thing to do?

His whole focus in on the gulag--term--he is diverting the attention away from the actual report.

12. Faux News Channel
I have Faux News Channel deleted off my TV's but I turned to it at 9pm to see what that a$$hole Hannity had to say about "Deepthroat" and they just breezed over that.

I doubt they've been talking about it much today. I wonder why...good ol' Tricky Dick Nixon.

15. Scarborough also trashed Amnesty.
I saw a Scarborough piece on Arianna Huffington's blog site in which JS claimed Amnesty "did nothing" regarding Darfur. It turns out Scarborough based this on the fact that Amnesty didn't back a piece of legislation that Scarborough backed. All Amnesty does day after day and year after year counnts for nothing if they don't toe the Scarborough line.

Frankly, I'm sick of preachy, self-absorbed boys who sit on their butts and have their calls screened.

But we have a larger problem. This seems to be a concerted effort to discredit human rights organizations. Considering the company the right wing keeps. What are we going to do to call Fox News (and their advertisers) on the carpet?

Does anyone know Hannity's advertisers, for example?

20. Gulag is really a nice comparison
What would THEY call a forever (or maybe not) sentence in a prison that has no contact with the outside world for crimes never actually prosecuted?

Oh,yeah right, justice. Cause it's all a culture of two things: Judgement and FEAR. That's right folks, it comes down to prissy boy Hannity is scared to DEATH terrorists will kill him. SO it's a-okay with him if anyone not guilty is tortured and imprisioned for life to prevent that from happening. Oh but (rationalization number uno) they are all guilty anyway so it doesn't matter how they are treated.

Stalin would be proud to have him serve him in the "corps of truth."

21. Ron Silver must be having kittens
He was a spokesman for them back in the mid 90's... along with a slew of celebs.

Think he'll toe the party line or defend Amnesty International?

I'm kinda fearful he'll denounce them.

...I'd posted a link in the Limbaugh thread about the flip-flop
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=104x3759926

The Bush Administration Was For Amnesty International Before It Was Against It
http://thinkprogress.org/index.php?p=979

Secretary Rumsfeld repeatedly turned to Amnesty to highlight the repressive nature of Saddam’s regime.
...Anyone who has read Amnesty International or any of the human rights organizations about how the regime of Saddam Hussein treats his people...
...seems to me a careful reading of Amnesty International or the record of Saddam Hussein, having used chemical weapons on his own people as well as his neighbors, and the viciousness of that regime, which is well known and documented by human rights organizations, ought not to be surprised...
...you read the various human rights groups and Amnesty International’s description of what they know has gone on, it’s not a happy picture.

25. I am glad to see that Hannity says that
Amnesty International is a radical left-wing group. In this case radical is good since it IS radical for a group to be fighting for human rights. Not too many groups like that around.
