1. It would be effective if we were running against Bush.
Edited on Fri Jun-03-05 12:20 PM by Vash the Stampede
Unfortunately, we're not, and the people we're running against can't be credibly tied to the forgery of information.

On edit: Yeah, they supported it, but that's still not going to be very effective.

5. Don't think so, eh? What if we had an AD in 2006 like this:
ANNOUNCER
The Republican Congress KNOWS that their president lied...yet they do NOTHING!

The Republican Congress knows the President lied... they IGNORE THE TRUTH and do NOTHING while THOUSANDS of our children die NEEDLESSLY in a war that was UNjustified

How many of our young soldiers have to die before we elect a congress that will make the intelligent changes needed to REALLY protect America?

Do you really want a congress that sits back and allows its president to send thousands of young Americans to death FOR A LIE?

Since when do family values CONDONE LYING by our representatives?

8. OR THIS ONE:
Edited on Fri Jun-03-05 01:06 PM by BigBearJohn
  • Iraq was not as significant a threat as North Korea or Iran

  • The case for the Iraq was “thin”

  • The administration’s “intelligence and facts were fixed”

  • The President’s attempts at diplomacy were all a sham

YET THE REPUBLICAN CONGRESS TURNS THEIR HEADS
PRETENDING THIS BOLD-FACED LIE DOES NOT EXIST

TIME FOR A CHANGE! VOTE DEMOCRAT IN 2006

6. Well, I guess we need to something about that then, don't we?
We have the power to get the word out -- it just takes people
focusing and organizing and getting it done.

3. downing street is XMAS in June
My thoughts exactly. As a party, we couldnt be given a much easier softball to hit out the park. Only thing better would be video or audio of bush himself....

If we can't convert this into booting bananas out of office we are the incompetents....

This is powerful enough for impeachment folks...i mean if this isnt what is?

Let us turn over the keys to 1600 to someone who could actually answer a simple question like who is the father of the declaration of independence...rather than sit there like a chimp and pretend to defend it knowing full well that you are out of your depth in trying to understand it....

I would love for bush to be put on the spot like that. Odds are he would make a complete ass of himself? Helen Thomas are you listening?

4. This is not a political ploy to gain temporary favor with voters
Edited on Fri Jun-03-05 12:36 PM by tmorelli415
It is about doing the right thing and getting the truth. The benefits of standing up against criminality and lies are that some lives may be spared in Iraq and perhaps a little democracy rather than a right wing proto-Nazi nightmare in the making.

9. True, it's not a political ploy, but we need to use everything in our
arsenal to fight this fascism.

10. political ploy ?
I dont give a shit who is in power as long as we have good and responsible government... Govt that doesnt kill our young men and women to suit their own purpose.

The minutes are a gift to get there. As a party lets make it clear that we do not crave power, we do crave an America that lives up to its BOUNDLESS potential!

Think of what 200 billion could do if we actually used that money within CONUS?

We are wasting so much for death and destruction guys...
