...is Al Franken's Mark Luther for REAL? |
|
I listen to this guy's continued defense of Limbaugh and can't believe (in light of the material and Franken's documentation of Limbaugh's bullshit) that he's for real...
Damn, if he is, what do you do with this level of delusion besides just writing his kind off completely?

I used to listen to his show pretty often when it repeated in the morning after Malloy but it's so old after a while. This guy is just so blind or something. Either that or he doesn't want to admit someone he respected () has been lying to him.

I'm not a psychologist so this is just my humble opinion of course, but I think you've hit on it. Like so many others, it's difficult for him to admit, even to himself, that he's been taken in so completely for so long. The defensive reaction is largely a defense of his own self-image. We're all prone to this, it's human nature.

them all but they would NEVER say it out loud. That's a basic hatred of the changes in society from the 1960's on and primarily the Civil Rights movement, Affirmative Action, etc. That's really what's sticking in their craw and why there can never be a meeting of the minds and hearts of the two sides. This is especially true on the part of white men and, also, women who strongly identify and feel secure in a totally male dominated world.

I dismiss him. He's beyond hope and he's perfectly happy in his ignorance.
Al is the one I get frustrated with. How can he keep excusing Mark over and over when it's obvious that Mark CHOOSES to believe Limbaugh's lies because they appeal to his intellectual laziness and mild bigotry?
I have friends and family like that, but I NEVER talk politics or religion with them, becasue I can't stand the disappointment of knowing that people I care about think that way. It lessens them in my eyes and I don't like it. I don't see how Al can stand knowing how willfully blind Mark is.

13. I've been a fan of Franken for years, but I don't understand why |

Edited on Fri Jun-03-05 02:15 PM by Stirk
he thinks that having fascist pals is a mark in his favor. Luther is just an idiot, so he's easily dismissed. But Franken will endlessly repeat- almost to the point of bragging- that G. Gordon Liddy is one of his "close friends".
That does *not* impress me.

15. I know what you mean... In my family too, there is this entire landscape |

that I avoid because it serves nothing and the few times I have attempted to point out facts and issues only reinforced my belief that it's a waste of time. Some people are hopeless in this regard. I find comfort in the fact that (whatever happens) eventually they will be faced with the truth. Hopefully it will be the fall of these bastards and not the end of American Democracy that issues the wake up call...

11. He's a completely brainwashed dittohead. He's for real. Sad, eh? |
|
He's spent waaaaaaay too many years being programmed by Limpballs. I can't stand the guy and quit listening to Franken because he gives that man far too much air time and replays Limpballs bullshit giving HIM more air time. AAR is for progressives, not dittoheads. IMCPO

14. I don't have a prob with Al unraveling Limbaugh. Whether Mark Luther... |
|
is real or not it certainly helps to make Franken's point (at the expense of his "friend") which is that you have to be a true idiot to take any of it seriously. Remember Wally George? It was hard to give that guy any credit either and now half the country subscribes to that Brown Shirt mentality.
Very sad indeed...

Instead of looking for what's best for the country, they just want to root for their team. They're gonna be loyal ______ fans come hell or high-water.
Unfortunately, hell and high-water are on the way.
Idiots.
