Something I thought was hilarious in a sad kinda way |
|
My brother just got back from the bookstore (Walden's) since he hasn't been there in a while. While he was waiting to pay he was talking to the cashier and she told him the most popular book that was stolen was...guess what....the Bible! I thought that was nuts. Because one of the Ten Commandments is "thou shalt not steal." I couldn't believe that.

since there's a whole "thou shalt not do this and that" ordeal. I wasn't expecting the Bible to be the most stolen. Then again I didn't expect a moron in the Oval office either so this world is full of surprises. The Bible is known to be the most popular book so I guess it makes sense that it's the most stolen as well.

4. A Christian Bookstore owner told me the same thing years ago |
|
She said people would steal the Deluxe leatherbound editions and the fabric "bible covers." When I asked her why she thought they might steal a bible (?????) she said, "They want to have nice bibles to carry to church, I suppose. They just don't want to pay for them."
Very sad, huh...
