My mail to Tim Russert
Randi Rhodes just received a very passionate call from a gentleman who asked that people send Tim Russert a note. He asked that we invoke the name of TR's father, Big Russ, who was a veteran. The caller made so much sense because Tim did not follow up strong enough, as usual. But TR's father is a war veteran. And TR's Mehlman interview was not supportive of the troops because it was so weak. Taking it to a personal level might make a dent.

Anyhow, here's my note sent via the web site. Don't tell me it's for nothing, either. It made me feel good and that made it worth my while.

"I'd like Tim to explain himself to his father, Big Russ, about how Tim interviewed Mehlman yesterday on MTP. How would his dad, as a war veteran, feel about how little regard Tim demonstrated for our troops by Tim's failure to follow up on Mehlman's lies regarding the status of The Downing Street Memo. Sending troops into a war based on what may be a lie is horrible. And I'd like to know what Tim thinks his father, Big Russ, would have felt about Tim's weakness in this interview. With Father's Day coming up - Tim needs to do some deep soul searching."

2. It's not for nothing
And shame on anyone who says otherwise. To those who say it's a useless exercise, I say don't criticize but do whatever you think is more efficacious. Let's all work on our separate paths to see if we can't make a difference somehow, somewhere.

And it was a pretty good little note.

5. what's his address?
I was so upset after listening to that lying POS and TR just sitting there like he was dazed and amazed and lost in his koolaid fog. I heard mehlman say, "I respectfully disagree with that, at least 6 times and ol' TR just lets it pass.:puke:
