OK, I just gotta go beat my head against a wall or something...
My cubby mate and another coworker are having a discussion and my cubbymate, when asked to really explain why he was so gung-ho for *, just said "I don't know how to put this to you any other way. The Democratic party is a threat to my family. The Democratic party is a threat to the world. They have put themselves ahead of the whole country so many times, it's going to take years to fix the problems that Clinton left behind...and that's the growing pains we're going thru right now."

Of course, that does prove that he is repub -- he didn't answer the question! I *SWEAR* that this job is hazardous to my health and I'm just a web designer! It's all his fault! UGHHHH!!!

1. Ignorance
How do you counter it? It's frustrating.

Ask him why they're a threat? When they put themselves ahead of the country? What problems did Clinton leave behind?

Normally their evidence is non-existant or easily disproven with actual facts.

Or you could just jump on him and start punching.

We want to know why he thinks we're so dangerous. Is it because we can think for ourselves? Or we care about America? If we're a threat to his family, have him say how we are a threat. If it's taxes, ask him to find one society that had a gov and currency and didn't have taxes.

2. Tell him to substantiate his remarks.
Then cut him down with the REAL facts.

4. Democrat = Communist Sympathizer
There are every day people who agree with that take on the Democratic Party. They'd probably support a military overthrow of Cuba tomorrow. Eliminating welfare, social security, all government programs. Government should fill pot holes and keep the peace, and that's it.

Then there are those who aren't quite that extreme, but think the Democratic Party would implement a complete socialist government if they could. Then of course, there are those on our left who call themselves Democrats who would do exactly that.

5. I know the feeling
all you can do is be prepared with facts, counter the lies, ask where did you hear that crap? and remind them that Clinton isn't president, and pound away.

An example: got tired of listening to my freeper dad whine about how the "dummycrats" are gonna take his guns and the collection. (I don't remember the last time he's been to the firing range) After 2000, his health care premiums started going up and up. That's areally hard 'cause he's retired. "I went from paying nothing to $300 a month on premiums." I said, "I don't know why you're crying about it, that's what you voted for. At least the gun collection is safe."

He doesn't talk politics around me too much, I don't know why.

6. Does he have a 20-gallon tank of Kool-Aid on his desk?????
He sounds thoroughly lobotimized by overexposure to hate radio, Faux, etc.

Ask him to *TRY* to think for himself on such matters. Fat lot of good it'll do, but just ask him.

10. Easy answer: Clinton left behind a 2 1/2 year study on global terrorism by
Edited on Thu Jun-09-05 02:45 PM by blm
the best minds in the field. The Hart-Rudman Report on Global Terror was completed and handed over to Bush on Jan 30, 2001. He refused to read it.

The Republicans were pushing a story about a president having a girlfriend and refused to acknowledge the terror issue. They said the terror issue was being exaggerated to cover up Monica. HORSESHIT LIE. They are traitors to their country.

In fact, when the media was showing Clinton's grand jury testimony, Clinton was speaking to the United Nations about the threat of global terror. The media was complicit in the treason by the Republicans.

John Kerry was exposing the international financing of terrorism in BCCI and Bush1 was doing everything they could to cover up for their financier cronies and dictator friends who were involved.

John Kerry wrote a book about the terror networks and their funding in 1996. How many Republicans read it or even acknowledged it was an important issue? And why did they choose to cover up for the wealthy financiers involved instead of helping Kerry to expose them?

Does he really want to talk about the problems left behind and WHO was responsible? He has NO CASE.
