We just had some protests here this week at the Ft. Lauderdale Convention Center and people were kept a couple of miles away from the bush boy and his ass-wiping nanny.

Not dissing young people, but the image of protesters is young and enthusiastic. BUt many of the protesters I see, not only in this set of pictures, but in pictures from other events is showing middle aged, 'average' people. You know .... salt of the earth types .... *ahem* heartland types .... middle Americans.

And I think that's very telling.

Your sign was a big hit at the rally. Well, the Dems & Greens loved it...the Pugs had the usual miserable scowls on their faces. :rofl:

It was so much fun. We live in such a Red area, so we are constantly having a GOP lovefest shoved in our faces. It was nice to get a little of our own back. The press was there too, so it should be in our local papers tomorrow.

We had a lot more people there than that...probably 50 or 60 (though honestly, I was too busy sweating in the Bush mask to get an exact count). Screw the lazy Daily News (circulation 4) for not even bothering to check with us.

The Ventura County Star and the Acorn at least tried, until the police threatened to tow their vehicles.
