Our media is stupid! I have proof...
If you've ever wondered why our media seems completely disconnected from reality, this list may help. The vast majority of our major media types have little to no educational background in international relations, history, law, etc. Most of the ones with degrees are journalism majors, which teach you how to look good on TV or how to write a lead ...hardly a challenging degree program IMO.

Few have graduate degrees, and even fewer have graduate degrees in something other than journalism.

Some of you may say, "Who gives a damn?" To which I say, one of my favorite quotes from CW Mills book The Power Elite is that men rarely shape organizations...mostly they are shaped by them. With all the media-bashing on both sides of the spectrum, I thought it would be neat to see how educated they were.

I think that you will find that the national media (by and large) is made up of easily-led morons who are impressed by those with power and prestige. They continually defer to those with a perceived "better understanding" of the issues at hand. And, of course, those "better informed" types are supplied by organizations with a distinct bias. The big question each of you need to ask is whether this is merely "coincidence" or planned by the media hierarchy.

But what about the Bush Administration's treachery? Well, if my theory is correct, this would explain why it is that when faced with outright lying, treachery, etc. from the powerful, our media types lack the educational background (and thus the wisdom) to counter the lies spewed by the right. "Well, our guest IS a Harvard man..." they say softly to themselves...

The great benefit for the powerful here is that when you debate a dumbass, you can convince them of just about anything. Even better when you can televise that debate to about 60 million other dumbasses. Any story will fly when you can go unchallenged.

The list:

Tim Russert: He is a graduate of John Carroll University and with honors from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. Commentary: JCU is a Jesuit/Catholic University...Cleveland/Marshall is a TTT law school.

"Lil' Tucker": Carlson attended Trinity College in Connecticut. Commentary: Elite Northeastern private school = Tucker is a self-hating Northeastern elitist.

Leslie Stahl: Stahl graduated cum laude in 1963 from Wheaton College, where she serves on the board of trustees. Commentary: " Wheaton College exists to help build the church and improve society worldwide by promoting the development of whole and effective Christians through excellence in programs of Christian higher education. This mission expresses our commitment to do all things -"For Christ and His Kingdom."

Tom Brokaw: After a brief time at the University of Iowa, Brokaw went off to study political science at the University of South Dakota. He moved from radio to television, when he landed a job at KMTV in Omaha after his graduation.

He passed the bar before graduation so he went into practice immediately. He continued practicing law until he signed a contract with WSB in 1992.

Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University where he received a Master's Degree in Public Administration.

Rush Limbaugh: At the urging of his father, Limbaugh attended Southeast Missouri State University but dropped out after three semesters...I CAN"T HELP IT... also, during this time, the Viet Nam war raged on. But Rush Limbaugh was to have no part of it. He got a "4F" through a pilonidal cyst (pimple) on his posterior.

5. Read this too...
http://pssht.com/biography/rush_limbaugh.html

"Here, in his "Jeff Christie" phase, Rush Limbaugh worked under an assumed identity, as do many self-loathing, closeted homosexuals. After
being arrested for soliciting a gay man in Pittsburgh, Limbaugh was fired from KQV radio, according to numerous sources."
