|
he might like to take his next vacation there!!! My sister and I both seconded that motion at the same time. I think it was his pathetic attempt at joking. What an ass.

because Gitmo is a good place for someone who compromised an undercover operative.
Novak has undermined the US much more than most of those poor bastards at Gitmo.

9. Well hell, we don't have journalists running the news, Bob! |
|
So I guess you have a point.
And while we're at it, let's get those damned Ship Captains off of ships. And school teachers out of schools. Perhaps the BEST we could do would be to take the preachers out of church. Scum the likes of Novak are already doing plenty of preaching as it is, and seem to think they're infallible, just like God!

17. And you had NO PART in that, did you Novakula? |
|
http://www.dailyhowler.com/h052499_1.shtmlCommentary by Robert Novak, Bill Press Crossfire, CNN, 5/19/99 NOVAK: says we ought to be able, quote, to establish a coordinated global program to achieve the strategic goal of completely eliminating the internal combustible engine--“internal” is a car--over say a twenty-five year period, unquote. That’s crazy, isn’t it?
(snip)
NOVAK: The point of the matter is that sooner or later you and the vice president’s friends are going to have to explain these wacko statements he’s made on the environment, or repudiate them.
http://www.dailyhowler.com/dh032405.html
GARDEN PARTY: A few weeks back, Josh Marshall referred to the “right-leaning dinner-party centrism” of establishment Washington (see THE DAILY HOWLER, 3/21/05). In this morning’s column, Robert Novak lets us visit one of those parties. He discusses the feelings now roiling Washington about the Schiavo affair:
NOVAK (3/24/05): In Washington, I was engaged during a Saturday night dinner party in debate at a level of intensity I had not seen since the bitter 1960s and '70s. My dining companions, mostly mainstream Washington journalists a generation younger than I, were passionately opposed to the congressional intervention .
Novak continues to stress the intensity of the journalists’ feelings:
NOVAK: The intensity was brought home to me at the Saturday dinner party. A fellow journalist asked me what I thought about the congressional intervention. When I responded that I approved, several colleagues asked how in the world I, of all people, could approve of federal intervention in local affairs. I told them I did not care about that issue but wondered why they were so anxious to end Terri Schiavo's life. They responded that Republicans in Congress were only interested in politics. I had not engaged in such a heated debate with colleagues since the Vietnam War.

18. Fuck reality; it's the enemy of conservatism |
|
Let these realism guys run amok and we'll have to live within our means. We'll have to actually deal with stuff. Can't have that.
Let's leave the running of society to the Witch Doctors and the Asshole Landlords; fuck the inferiors, they just slow things down. Let's just deregulate everything; those who take are better and we'd all be best to accept it.

21. So first they were anti-intellectual... |
|
clearly in an effort to dumb down the country so no one would be watching too closely when they started looting the treasury...
Now they're anti-science... why? Could it be so that fewer people will listen as more and more scientists start calling them out on their intentional trashing of the planet?
