it has the "demented sleigh-ride" line.

5. Great article

What you call "movement conservatives" have depended upon a perception of motion of American society toward their theocratic utopia. The fundies' support is like riding a bike: you stay on only if you pedal. But the road they're riding on has been provided by the "old-schoolers", and is finite. I believe that motion has just hit the wall, or the road has come to a dead end: if they were to continue it, they'll lose the "old-schoolers" in droves; if they stop moving, they'll lose the "movement conservatives". It's like they've crossed some political event horizon and every road leads to disintegration.

But, Rove has never given up and won't this time either. And I'm sure he's well aware of all this, so it'll be, shall we say "interesting", to see what they come up with.

7. They'll probably splinter like the Democrats did in 1968
Of course, this is 2008 instead. Where they had Vietnam, we have Iraq instead.

10. Three words.....
After Downing Street, Bush........We've come past Downing Streets....

All the Terry Sciavos, Plames, and Gannons in the world didn't precede this moment.
