In 1973 I predicted the end of Agnew long before it was obvious.
I also called Nixon's political demise. I had forgotten about having done so until I met a cousin whom I hadn't seen in 35 years. He reminded me of my predictions, and how blown away he and his parents were when I proved right. I'm mentioning this for one reason only: I just wanted to cite my track record because I am now ready to make another call: Bushco will not be in power in 2008. They are on the way out. Sadly, the inquiry will stop before laying bare the whole sordid MIHOP story, but there will be enough to take the Banana Republican out of office.

Bank on it.

3. Well, I Hope You're Right, But There's Two Big Differences Now
1. Corpoprate media control of the message, and 2. They've got election fraud down to a science.

10. And dependance on wary oilagarchies is way worse now then in '73.
But people haven't changed. Distrust and loathing has never been higher. And we have the INTERNET, maybe overcoming the disparity between the strong media of the 70's, and the subservient media today

11. Psst you forgot something
There is a difference...

America finnally has an independant voice from the people blogs, tie that to forums, and email.

You can't imagine the stress they are under to understand a variable they did not account or percieve to be a potential issue.

4. Yeah, but
who will end up holding the reins? Like the Nixon denouement, there will have to be some sort of "safe" successor; who will it be?

... it just ain't fucking enough!! :grr: Not even close!

Millions and millions of people lose their jobs every year. The travesty of equating the Bushoilini Regime's removal from the public payroll as some some kind of equitable punishment is appalling! In a country where smoking a cigarette at home is 'grounds' for employment termination, I'm astounded that so many 'liberals' have so totally surrendered all semblance of a sense of justice. It ain't September 2000 any more!

14. You pusillanimous pussyfooter, you.
:hi:

SPIRO AGNEW: Ultra-liberalism today translates into a whimpering isolationism in foreign policy, a mulish obstructionism in domestic policy, and a pusillanimous pussyfooting on the critical issue of law and order.

SPIRO AGNEW: In the United States today, we have more than our share of the nattering nabobs of negativism

9. Current Bushocaust is like Tricky Dickville, could easily happen.
Just one more military escapade necessitating conscription.
Just one more major loss of freedom or civil liberties scaring POWER into gathering up the already solid case for impeachment.
Just one more major policy radicalized by the emboldened lock steppers.
Just one more major public humiliation of GW, remember Bushocaust Family History, Savings & Loan, Nazi Business dealing by Prescrap, Enron buddy Kenny Boy, list is literally TNTMH (too numerous to mention here).
And then there's payback, Karma, TWOG (the wrath of God), who knows, ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN.

It may not happen until after the 2006 elections. But I have a strong feeling that it will happen.

16. I was thinking this today and I believe you are correct
So many times in the past I have thought he was on his way out. I have despised this man long before he ran in 2000. I have not been able to believe what I have seen in front of my own eyes as far as the gullibility of the American people in thinking Bush* was sent to us by God. He was delivered to us by a Devil named ironically Karl Christian Rove. I think the difference between the then and the now is that Bush* has finally done the ultimately unforgivable. He is responsible for the death of so many kids.

Politicians can often get away with murder in so many different venues, but when they start messing with the lives of somebody's kid, they are toast. And once the courage was found by some to start speaking out, the dam has burst and everybody seems to be discovering their own courage.

I have learned a lot of things I really did not want to know about human nature through these last unbelievable five years. I fear our country will never be the same again in my lifetime; my only hope is that some sort of semblance of civility, legality, Constitutionality and perhaps a shadow of what of our Democracy used to look like reemerges during the lifetime of my daughter. I can only pray. And while I do, I will also beg of God that Bush* receives his just reward not only in his afterlife but here on earth so anyone tempted to try to follow in his corrupt footsteps will forever be persuaded it cannot be done.

19. All the more reason we MUST take back the House
Take down the vice president and the president in the same impeachment proceedings, and the Speaker of the House becomes president.
