Gag me...just tried to watch Clark on Hannity & colmes |
|
Oh my god! Hannity just lies his ass off through the entire segment. WTF is he talking about that the Geneva Convention doesn't apply to enemy combatants? And he keeps saying, "we aren't killing them" over and over again...like that is something to be proud of.
Gah. What a :puke: fest.
I wish Clark had called him on his lies, but then it probably would have turned into a shoutfest. Clark stood up for Durbin, and changed the focus from Hannity's rant to the fact that the administration has no plan for these prisoners. He said more, but honestly, I was so nauseous from watching Hannity I can't remember anything else.
I love Clark, but I will never sit through that kind of bile again.
:puke: :puke: :puke:

2. But we are killing them. Some of the prisoners have died, violently. |
|
Or maybe they have to be dead for a year before it can be confirmed by a Gitmo medical examiner? :eyes:

26. It shows you what we are up against. They have no shame and |
|
lie without a second thought.
It actually shows why it may be important that Clark is over there fighting. You can see why people who watch Faux would be so clueless and believe so many lies.
I can't deal with watching Faux but we probably should view it like the new 50 state strategy in the DNC. We can't abandon anywhere. We have to fight everywhere - Georgia, Texas, Mississippi, and on Faux News or else they just assume what Hannity says is true.
But I can't stomach it.

I know WHY, but he's smarter asleep than Hannity is on his best day. What's the point?
God bless him, he's a better man than I.

General Clark has encouraged us all to write letters to the editor, email the media, call in to talk shows and "speak truth to power".
What better venue for him than to go behind enemy lines and proudly speak truth to power.
People listening to Fox will realize that there is an adult in the room, a patriot who cares about the direction of the country, a Democrat who is not afraid to take a stand, who supported Michael Moore, who supported Howard Dean, who supported John Kerry and worked tirelessly for him.
Red staters will see a Democrat who understands foreign policy, an internationalist who believes in working with our allies, a military man who can explain in ways others cannot how Bush has destroyed our military and how Bush's torture camps threaten our soldiers lives.
Thank you General Clark.

12. someone needs to remind him that he is using imperial japans argument |
|
from WWII but that would be ILLEGAL/UNLAWFUL COMBATANTS.
ENEMY combatants applies to ANY enemy... but ILLEGAL combatants implies that they are not qualified for protection which didn't go over well for the Japanese to this very day which I'm sure he'd agree with.

13. Too bad America is worse than the VietCong. |
|
Number of American POWs who died from all causes during 10 years of Vietnam;
114.
Number of Gitmo Gulag detainees dead, most from violent causes in the past 4 years;
108.
Does Hannity or pigboy of bush et al want to discuss these 2 figures? Would be ncie if the US "msm" bothered to point out the fact of these 2 figures. Would explain to the American sheeple just why the world is fucking outraged by us.

that were supposed to be released? What excuses are the administration and their media butt boys going to make when people see evidence of torture that makes the first round of pictures look like child's play.

22. He's right about the Geneva Convention not covering enemy combatants. |
|
Enemy combatants are terrorists without countries. We have no idea who they're holding down in Gitmo. There has not been any legal preceedings about whether these guys are enemy combatants or soldiers from Afghanistan or wherever. however, they did have an Englishman there. And as someone else has pointed out, they have not been charged. And everything is being done to not allow anyone down there to talk to them. I don't know what they're up to besides torture.
