Schieffer: Dean "disintegrating", Biden becoming new "voice of Democrats"
In a radio interview with WBZ this morning, Bob Schieffer explained that it looks likely that Biden is running for President in '08, and after all, WITH HOWARD DEAN'S DISINTEGRATION, Biden is becoming the real spokesman of the Democratic Party. Every time Dean 'opens his mouth' and says something new, MORE AND MORE people are saying "Hey, Howard Dean doesn't speak for me!" :eyes:

===

They're pulling out all the stops again. Why is the media so afraid of Dr. Dean?

and our support. He has done better than McAssie did in the job, without sucking up to or bowing down to the corporations.

They are scared of Dean because they are afraid of us, the grassroots members of the party, the true patriots. :patriot:

They hate us for our freedoms & our drive!

Looks like the pantywaist wing of the party is betting on Senator Hairplugs and enlisting the media to back them.

15. This is the new pundit talking point
Matthews used it recently, too. "America wants moderation" and we are looking toward the middle etc., etc., etc. This is so they can make McCain (or Guiliani) and Biden (or Bayh) "reasonable" alternatives to the "nuts" in the party. They did the same thing with Schwarzenegger in CA. How's that working out for us?

I hate Joe Bide. I really mean hate. People save the 'we don't want to take ourselves down to yadda yadda yadda' because I do not care. There are some people worthy of hate, bush** and Biden (who has now become biden to me, self aggrandizing bastard that he is) are two at the top of my list.

23. Notice how the media is obsessed with what Democrats SAY and
not what Republicans DO?

Dick Durbin says that a Gitmo prisoner might feel like he's in a Nazi concentration camp and OMG! "that man has to apologize!" -- the talking heads just go ballistic.

But run the national debt to historic highs or invade a country on lies and it's -- yawn -- business as usual, nothing to see here.

What a load of crap! I think it's time for Dean to go on AAR America on each person's show, like Al Franken and Randi Rhodes, especially Randi Rhodes just to talk about what's relevant to Democrats. Since those shows are heard by a lot more people than Democrats, it should show the lie for what it is.

41. I haven't fully decided yet

But I think Bob Schieffer is stuck in 1975, Tim Russert in 1985, and Chris Matthews in 1995.

And we don't have a time machine to bring them up to the present.

Dean is a fellow they were comfortable with; he was playing the political early 90s during his Pres. campaign. That they understood.

Dean has since figured out that this was the problem, not the solution. And in past year his politics have pulled past those of 1995 and past those of 2000.

But folks like Schieffer don't get it. They do 'get' Joe Biden, though.

In short: Schieffer's a fogey.
