Why does the Republican reaction to the Schiavo autopsy surprise anyone?
They HAVE to believe that someone with a brain half the size of a normal person can still maintain high functioning. Do you expect them to apologize for the last two elections?

3. They HATE Science! Of COURSE they would interpret the autopsy..
....in a way exactly opposing what science said about Mrs. Schiavo.
.....Of course they would. Sciences is their enemy.

.....this is typical in recentyears: Their methods are the OPPOSITE of scientific methods.

Science, real science, requires that one gather all the available information and then draw a conclusion. If new information becomes available, you scrutinize it and, if appropriate, change the conclusion.

These people are backwards: They pick a conclusion, accept only those facts that seem, however tenuously, to fit their conclusion, and continue hyping their conclusion as the only appropriate one. If information comes along that contradicts their conclusions, it is either weakly explained away or simply ignored.
