Updated Lynching Hall of Shame |
|
Where's the guy who praises the south all the time? The senate resolution that apologizes for sitting on their asses on the lynching issue is now up to 89 sponsors and cosponsors, leaving 11 hold-outs. If my accounting is correct, the remaining Lynch Mob Eleven are:
Lamar Alexander (R-TN) where hundreds (or more) lynchings took place Robert Bennett (R-UT) Saxby Chambliss (R-GA) where hundreds (or more) lynchings took place Thad Cochran (R-MS) where hundreds (or more) lynchings took place John Cornyn (R-TX) where hundreds (or more) lynchings took place Michael Enzi (R-WY) Judd Gregg (R-NH) Trent Lott (R-MS) where hundreds (or more) lynchings took place Richard Shelby (R-AL) where hundreds (or more) lynchings took place John Sununu (R-NH) Craig Thomas (R-WY)

1. There should not be a single name on this list! |
|
Everyone of these traitors should be voted out of office and investigated (glad to see Conrad not on the list anymore).

6. Chambliss confirmed he signed |
|
On every other list I have seen, both Chambliss and Isakson of Georgia are listed as co-sponsors. Both signed on the last day and did not show up the first night. I sent an inquiry to both asking if they did or did not support this legislation before I saw them listed anywhere.
The next day, somebody wrote in the local paper that Chambliss had not supported it, so his responses became a combination of explaining what he did and when in reaction to the media coverage.
I received replies from both GA senators. Both stated they did sign as co-sponsors in the reply.
