On HBO there is a lovely HBO film called "The Girl In The Cafe"

I watched it last night. It's about a British beaurocrat (Lawrence)
who meets a young woman (Gina) in a cafe and eventually invites her to the 2005 G8 Summit. She learns from Lawrence that poverty kills 300,000 people a day, or one every 3 seconds, and she challenges the Prime Minister to take real action to stop it.

Unfortunately this film is a fantasy of what can be done, and I am sure at the end of this G8 Summit, it will be the same old, same old.....
