When a Democrat gets caught in a lie, they apologize.

They say they were wrong to lie, lying is wrong, etc., etc.

When you catch a Republican in a lie and call them on it, they just look at you like you're crazy. Everybody lies. What's wrong with you? So I lied, big effin' deal.

This happened to me one time. I had just gotten a job as a civilian on a military base and I caught one of my instructors in a lie. I didn't say anything that day, but the next morning I happened to come in early and he was alone in his office, so I asked him why he'd lied. His response was, "Don't you ever lie?"

To which I replied, "I've never worked for the government before, Sir."

On edit: That might be why when a Democrat lies it is an impeachable offense, but when a Republican lies, it doesn't make the news. It is about as newsworthy as a fish swimming. It's just what they do.
