Snip: <Fri Jul 8, 7:01 PM ET

FRIDAY, July 8 (HealthDay News) -- For the cost of a latte a day, many of America's 10 million uninsured young adults could afford individual health insurance in most of the 50 largest U.S. cities, according to a new national report.

The Most Affordable Cities for Individuals to Buy Health Insurance report was released by online insurance source eHealthInsurance. The report lists the cities with the most affordable health insurance options for single 30-year-olds.

"It's important that young and uninsured people realize that their health, as well as their financial future, are at stake. We created this report to raise awareness with young people that there are affordable solutions available in most of the country so they can make an informed choice about their fiscal and physical health," Gary Lauer, CEO of eHealthInsurance, said in a prepared statement.>

1. I have individual health insurance through Aetna. I pay $221 a month,
but I also have the most comprehensive plan. There are cheaper plans available. I do not have a deductible, I have a $2500 max out of pocket expense per year, $10 doctor visits, $20 for specialists, and $ 100 a day hospitalization.

I had $40,000 worth of surgery in May, and it cost me $400.

2. Sure - if you pick a place and clients
with the most affordable insurance and expensive lattes and limit to young adults.

Further, do not mention that individual insurance, as opposed to HIPAA certified group can exclude pre-existing conditions and pick only healthy customers and sure, it's affordable.

3. yeah well goody for them wait until they turn 40
Of course insurers wish to insure you when you aren't going to need it.

I bet those "many" young adults who can buy insurance are not the ones with chronic or genetic illness. I could not buy private insurance for 15 years in my 20s and 30s.
