Why do you think the Miller-Cooper leak "scandal" is so difficult ....?
Edited on Mon Jul-11-05 10:46 AM by kentuck
to comprehend? Why is it so difficult to tie the ends together? Should this story be so complicated? No, not really. There is a coverup taking place and certain folks do not want you to know they truth. They are doing their best to sweep this under the rug because many people may be embarrassed by it. The networks are not reporting it in any comprehensible manner. Why? This is a scandal that the people are not permitted to know about. Otherwise, there would be enough details to tie the story together. But, there are not.

1. If you can't express it ...
Edited on Mon Jul-11-05 10:44 AM by Drifter
in a single sound bite ... like ... "Clinton got a Blowjob in the Oval Office", most people will get it.

If it involves a complex web of political crime and cover-ups, then there is no way in hell the masses will see it.

Cheers
Drifter

2. This is how I feel about so many stories these days.
It seems like a simple statement of the facts always eludes journalists. I get so frustrated with trying to piece it all together, and wondering why, if *I* have these questions, why THEY didn't think to ask them, and they are supposedly professionals?

Bread and circuses.

3. Yes,
take a step back and look at the big picture.

from Newsweek....
Rove informed Cooper that Wilson's trip had not been authorized by "DCIA" - CIA Director George Tenet - or Vice President Dick Cheney. Rather, "it was, KR said, wilson's wife, who apparently works at the agency on wmd issues who authorized the trip."

What was he up to? Very dirty politics at the very least. This should bring all the crap to light, to long to list.

To quote my 10 year-old son...."The Bush family is just like the Mafia but its political".... from the mouths of babes.

5. This is known as "the Chewbacca Defense"...
and it seems to be becoming more and more popular today, first as a legal strategy and now by the media to cover for Bushco.

Here's the Wikipedia article on it:

6. gossip
Does anyone in their right mind really beleive that the number 2 man in the Junta is going to be brought down by this? The best recourse in this is for the Left and progressives to steal the language back first off. We should at the very least be calling Rove, Karl Goebels. At the very least. Unfortunately one must simplify in this day and age. But you won't ever get to him. Not until these facists are unseated and since they control the vote count and to my mind will more than likely declare a martial law sometime over the next year or two and extend the monkey's term, we can look forward to them being around thru 2012. Please, do you really beleive that they will 'play by the rules' and exit quietly in 08'? What an outrageous joke. The denial of liberals who want to beleive desperately that their government was not overthrown in 00' runs deep.

bush should no longer be referred to as the 'President'. He should be widely referred to as Mr Select or Mr Selectsident or Mr Diebold. We must change the language. It is a good way to communicate subliminally with the mass of people who sadly do not have the time or energy to engage all these nefarious plots. Cheney should simply be referred to as 'Oil Boy'. Rumesfeld is Field Marshal Rumesfeld.

Remember they have stolen the language from us with all their nonsense newspeak and outrageous big lying. We must steal the language back. It must be infused with humor and irony and sarcasm and it must indicate the truth.

7. The WHIG (White House Iraq Group) is, literally, a conspiracy.
The following people were/are in the White House Iraq Group, formed by Andrew Card, the purpose of which was to "fix the intelligence" around the pre-ordained policy to invade and occupy Iraq. They met weekly in the Situation Room (entrance allowed only to people with high security clearance).
* Karl Rove
* Karen Hughes
* Mary Matalin
* Jim Wilkinson
* Nicholas Callo
* Condi Rice
* Stephen Hadley
* Scooter Libby

I believe these people didn't merely 'harvest' and spin intelligence irrespective of its credibility, I believe they also had a role in planting it in the first place, if only by identifying where the wall of disinformation needed more spackle.

It's now also pretty clear that they participated in the 'damage control' regarding the repudiation of the Niger Uranium Hoax ... also possibly a piece of disinformation generated through a 'need' identified by WHIG and possibly farmed out through an Italian intelligence cell.

8. Let Fitzgerald do his job...
There are a lot of pieces to this puzzle, many of which are still missing. All we can do at this point is speculate about a few leaked facts (some of which is probably dis-information), so don't lose your head if much of what you're hearing is contradictory or doesn't make much sense.

Fitzgerald knows what he's doing and indications are that there will probably be some indictments coming soon. Then it will all make sense.
