I saw it and the best part was I was watching it with a conservative friend of mine! That was priceless!
Have you noticed every episode this season has had a negative comment or prop directed at the mis-administration? Did you notice Billy's Ski Iraq t-shirt a week or so ago?

When she ranted on, she was suffering deep grief because she felt it was her fault that her friend had died. At this point in the show, there was no wine or pot - she was very sober when she ranted on about life being unfair like Bush being re-elected, etc. The pot and wine came later.

She is the type of character you would "expect" to say such a thing: a flakey California former hippie, still living out the hippie persona. The statement says nothing about the feelingsa of the show or its writers. It onlyu says something (that you would expect) about the character.

11. Man I am so sad to see this show go too |
|
It is so real to life in my opinion - the family dynamics, the older cool ladies drinking their wine and smoking weed, Claire smoking out of her bong - it is such a great show.

They think it's irrational, but when you think about it, it shouldn't be so shocking. After all, who really got upset when a Bill Clinton character on The Simpsons said, "I'm a really terrible President."
Hell, even I laughed at that.
