Will the post office deliver mail if the stamp is put on it so the

2. Of course.
They really don't care how you affix your stamp.

5. I mail all of them that way
if it's the flag. They've all gone through. Been doing it deliberately since *'s first appointment took affect. Except for the toy cars stamps, that is.

7. Upside Down Stamps - Trivia

To some, stamps turned upside down is a symbol for "I love you." Back when letter-writing was still something people did, this was a common practice. My great-aunt always affixed her stamps upside down on letters to family members.

She affixed them crooked on mail to bill collectors, but I think that was just her little thing. :-)

8. Not a problem
Upside down, sideways, whatever. They don't like it if you put the stamp in the 'wrong' place on the envelope, because then they must cancel it by hand, but they will still carry your letter.

For a while we were having a lot of fun with the 'arctic wildlife' series of stamps, and the profile of George Washington ones. Placed so that Washington faced the wildlife stamp, and adding hand-written captions like, "George takes one last look at the caribou before the drilling begins,"

10. I demand the flag stamp so I can do just that
Mail everything that way. Also put anti-bush stickers on the outside of my envelopes. One postal worker commented that he loved my stickers.

Do it - a little bit of activism can only help. And it's easy to do.
