-- Sorcery sells!! Wal-mart sells a complete section of books for spells, recipes and mixing potions. Visit www.walmart.com and type in "Wicca".

-- Since the release of the Harry Potter series, interest in Wicca materials, schools, spells has increased over 200%. --Retail Trends, 2004

Under "Acclaim for the Author," the Grimoire unveils its mission.

-- Harry Potter stories accurately portrays Wicca spells and rituals according to Wiccans and Wizards.

"To see the phenomenal response Steve Wohlberg garners from listeners quickly makes me understand that he is certainly on the right track, while being provocative, well-researched and unfailing in his ability to not preach 'at us' but let us explore the realm of things we may not understand. He, in fact, lights up the phones without psychobabble, rhetoric or hyperbole." -- Joe Benson, News Director, KPRL Radio, Paso Robles, California

"Steve was an absolute delight to have on our program. It is awesome to have a guest that first of all has a heart for our Lord and a desire to honor Him. Couple that with Steve's well researched book and his preparedness for our many callers, and you have the workings of a great show. Steve also made our job as hosts much easier as his responses were brief giving us opportunity to go to commercial breaks as necessary. He is a wonderful communicator and we will look forward to having him back on Point of View." -- Carmen Pate, Point-of-View, USA RADIO NETWORK

To book Steve Wohlberg for an insightful, well-researched and knowledgeable interview, call G Media Resource at 615 599 3114 or gwresource@msn.com

Did you see that jackass cut me off?:hi:
If so, I may need you to testify for me in court.

My deductible on that broom is really high and without witnesses I will not be able to sue him for my damages.

Christianity (as interpreted by fundies) = God made the earth for us to use as we see fit.

Christianity (as defined by these fruitcakes) = because god came to earth as a man, men are superior in all things

that don't want to read anything, BUT Harry Potter.

I know quite a few kids who do nothing but read the Harry Potter books over and over and over.

Someone should tell them that it's okay to read other books too.

Nope! My ex was a Pagan who did spells all the time. the spells are actually "petitions", more like ritualized prayer.

I NEVER saw her wave a wand and yell "expelliramus" or whatever.

50. LMAO !! The HP spells are more like a crash course in Latin. . .
than anything Wiccan.

Visit www.hp-lexicon.org and you'll know what I mean.

http://www.hp-lexicon.org/magic/spells.html

And, hey, it's really quite a fun way for our kids to learn Latin, and thus, by extension, English.

Remember, Latin and Greek are the heart and soul of Western culture and language, and one cannot truly call him/herself literate until he/she has a knowledge of these far-from-dead tongues of yesteryear.

51. They said the same thing about "The Mists Of Avalon"
Although I would say that MZB's feminist novel about the women in the King Arthur legends did inspire a lot of women to explore wicca. It had that effect on me.

Harry Potter stories are fairy tales. Good wins over evil, smart kids with brave and strong hearts succeed, and friendship is about looking out for each other. "Sleeping Beauty" has elements of magic and evil, but I don't hear the looney right crying about that. Well, at least not yet.

Maybe they should put warning labels on the books, like on cds. I suggest paraphrasing the GNR one "This book is shock full of offensive images and words. If you don't like it, f&$@ off and buy something from the christian book section".

There are times when you are torn between the desire to educate someone, and the desire to let them make an ass of themselves.

I'm choosing the latter course here.

60. And, once again, they mis-quote the Bible.
At the top of the page of the website, they have a quote:
Through sorcery all nations were deceived-Revelations 18:23

But Revelations 18 is talking about Babylon, and actually says:
"and light of lamp shall shine no more at all in thee, and voice of bridegroom and bride shall be heard no more at all in thee; for thy merchants were the great ones of the earth; for by thy sorcery have all the nations been deceived."

65. Oh fer cryin' out loud...
Somebody smack me in the back of the head, my eyes are rolling around so much, the cats will start playing with them in a minute. And I have four cats, so that's a lot of claw marks...

My husband decided to have a pointless argument with me over tarot cards. I have a deck, he tried telling me that spirits attach themselves to tarot cards, and it wasn't a good habit to have.

I rolled my eyes all the way back in my head (I'm getting good at looking at my brain), and told him, "Yeah, and I guess Harry Potter books and Dungeons and Dragons are a couple of FINE habits for a nice Christian man like you."

He hasn't bothered me about tarot cards since then. Something about pointing out that his objections were just as ridiculous as objections to Harry Potter and D&D, I suppose.

Of course, the last time I got stopped by a couple of fundie whackjobs outside the local New Age bookstore (that's what THEY call themselves, a New Age bookstore, I prefer the term metaphysical myself), and were telling me how bad Harry Potter was, and I was going into a store that encouraged witchcraft and so forth, I just smiled sweetly as I walked in and said, "Nothin' says lovin' like somethin' from the coven!" Shut 'em right up, they were practically in apoplexy from that.

I love being able to do that to people...

that day, we do ask that you wait until 7:00 p.m. before contacting
customer service if you haven't received your order.

Although we're not requiring a signature, we still recommend that someone be home to accept the package, as the driver may not leave it on your doorstep if they don't feel it's safe to do so.

You'll receive our usual shipment confirmation e-mail after your package leaves our fulfillment center.

Thanks for shopping at Amazon.com, and happy reading!

Can someone translate the hidden message for me? I seem to have lost my sooper dooper genuine 3D decoder wand. Their fulfillment center? Gotta be something ominous.
