Keep your Eyes on the Prize. The War. The Economy.
Edited on Tue Jul-19-05 10:38 PM by faygokid
I am a Boomer; the X-ers, the Millenials and those being born now (unnamed) will feel the effects of John Roberts. We must pick and choose our battles, and I for one pick the unjust war that we were lied into, and an economy that is built to drive the dollars to an oligarchic few. What is the ditch we want to die in? I don't think it's Roberts, much as Rove would like us to concentrate on him. Keep hammering, my DU friends, on the dishonesty (war) and anti-Americanism (domestic) of this insane administration. Maybe Roberts will surprise us.

2. The prize for me has always been my children. Today I recommit
myself to fighting for their rights...

Reproductive freedom is NOT some abstract. It is a reality. If the Dems just let it slide you will see un-Civil WAR inside the party.

Sorry, I still stand for personal freedoms and a womans right to choice even if a few others don't.

5. Damn, so do I. At 53, I have lived it.
I don't think we can win this one, and so I am for keeping our eyes on the broader prize - bringing down this hateful administration. I have both abortions and births in my life (yes a male), and am 100% pro-choice. I don't say roll over, but don't despair if he is confirmed, either. We don't lose it all over this one nomination. Not by a long shot.

6. I, unlike Bush
can do more than one thing at once. If we don't, much will slip by.
