I don't doubt for a moment that this guy is anti-choice. To me the most telling thing may be that his wife is apparently a leader of the anti-choice group "Feminists for Life". But the "quotes" relied upon by NARAL were made in legal proceedings where he was a lawyer advocating for a client. He can very easily, and rightly, say that those assertions represented the position of his client and that he was simply doing his job as their legal advocate. It doesn't establish one way or the other what his personal views are. It may say something about his beliefs that he chose to work in that office, but pinning those quotes on him is pointless and easily brushed aside by him. I think he should answer plenty of questions about his personal beliefs, but if his work in the solicitor general's office is all we have to go on, it won't go very far.
