Prosecutor In CIA Leak Case Casting A Wide Net
Prosecutor In CIA Leak Case Casting A Wide Net

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/07/26/AR2005072602069_pf.html

The special prosecutor in the CIA leak probe has interviewed a wider range of administration officials than was previously known, part of an effort to determine whether anyone broke laws during a White House effort two years ago to discredit allegations that President Bush used faulty intelligence to justify the Iraq war, according to several officials familiar with the case.

10. Yeah, if you like rice and beans everyday.
Did they ever make clear who's menu it was. Was that the prisoner's menu or the guards.

3. This Is Getting A Little Closer...
Prosecutors have questioned former CIA director George J. Tenet and deputy director John E. McLaughlin, former CIA spokesman Bill Harlow, State Department officials, and even a stranger who approached columnist Robert D. Novak on the street. In doing so, special prosecutor Patrick J. Fitzgerald has asked not only about how CIA operative Valerie Plame's name was leaked but also how the administration went about shifting responsibility from the White House to the CIA for having included 16 words in the 2003 State of the Union address about Iraqi efforts to acquire uranium from Africa.

Welcome to the first real hints this is about "The Plot to get Wilson" as one prosecutor (might have been Fitzgerald) a couple weeks ago. The brownstaining in the Department of Crashcart must be getting very smelly. That memo will be the smoking gun. Strap it down...the fun is just starting.

The more people called, the better chances someone's story isn't going to jive with someone elses. This is looking more like obstruction and conspiracy every day.

4. Thanks for the link. So Rove didn't write the Tenet letter BUT...
he needed to send it to the White House for approval.

This after Hadley went to him to tell him that they had to "clean this up."

5. Still dunno about Fitzgerald lasting
Everything i've seen so far shows that he sure isn't fond of the press regardless of which side they whore for, which gives me hope, and also makes me sure he will be replaced soon. Irishman from Brooklyn no? Wrong guy to fuck with if you want to play dirty, his limited statements so far give me the impression that something like Pat Roberts proposed counter-ops would just make him press even harder.

6. But at the same time, don't you think if he's replaced that
more and more Dem & Rep officials will realize that the pile is smelling more and more like Bushit??
