Robert's won't show all of his records. Fine.

You want an excuse for prevarication? They're a dime a dozen. Sweet City Bingo!

1. You know, I wouldn't have a problem with this IF...
Bush would have made this part of his 2000 Campaign "I won't make Judges show their tax forms prior to LIFETIME appointments" but since he ARBITRARILY made this up in 2001, I say F him.

Yet another example of GOP hypocrisy - if Clinton had done this they'd be screaming bloody murder about it "What are they trying to hide" blah blah.

2. Throw the rhetoric about "searches" back in their faces.
If you're a good, upstanding citizen, then you have nothing to hide and nothing to fear from your records being examined. The difference here is that this isn't a random search on a suspect tip. This is an inquiry into the financial ties of a man who will have a lifetime appointment on the highest court in our nation.

4. Did other appointees open their returns?
A repuke at work was talking about how Justice Ginsberg gave the committee a list of areas she would not answer questions about since it would be inappropriate. He seemed to think that Roberts should use the same list. Has anyone else heard of this or is it some repuke fantasy?
