Time to start acting like it.

Here's a good start: From now on, how about you start asking people for their opinions before deciding your positions on issues?

The DLC loves to tell people it's a big-tent party, but they aren't about inclusion, only about bending party activists to their will.

But I've got news for the DLC: Hillary won't win the Presidential nomination without us.

Progressives have taken back the Party. From the amount of money MoveOn and Howard Dean raised in 2004, to Dean's ascension to the chairmanship of the DNC, progressives are resurgent within the Democratic Party.

The DLC is desperate to prove its relevance. Here's an opportunity: stop trying to tell us what we should believe.

We've had enough of being told what to do by demonstrable losers with no goal outside of political expediency.

All this talk of making peace in the Party. We're here, we're listening, and we don't like what we're hearing. This is not a top-down party and it never will be.

It's time for the DLC to pipe down and start taking notes.

This Party is ours now, and you can't have it back.

I love it! They are probably scratching their heads about the union split. Clueless, almost totally clueless. And I'm not radical, I just want things to work better for all Americans. The DLC talks a good story on some issues but they have no ability to either pull people together or actually do something substantive to get us out of this mess.

And I like Howard and Clark, what a breath of fresh air they bring in. :bounce:

I don't know that they will take it seriously, but they'd be fools not to. I'm not sure they really want to win though.

Seems all they want is to divide the DP so that the GOP can clean up at election time.

16. I agree with that analysis. But, I want it to be made clear to them

and to all looking on. Feels to me that staying quiet just "enables" them. This way, we have our say - they've been put on notice -- and their actions will prove who/what they really are.

And it's good for the soul to get it out there. Maybe even good for the "collective" soul. So thanks loads for providing the raw materials for this letter. .... and 100% true.

These folks are stuck in olden times, before the internet. Back then, raising substantial amounts of campaign/activism money from individual donors was next to impossible.

While the DLC was sleeping, a new reality emerged. We don't need them or their corporate masters any more. We want results, we're willing to spend time and money to get them, and we see the way to make it happen, right here on our CRTs and TFTs.
