about their LOUD commercials? It's extremely annoying to be listening to one of AAR's radio shows at a comfortable volume only to be BLASTED out of my chair when a commercial comes on. They're SO DAMN LOUD! Who do I complain to? AAR? or XM?

1. Does XM still repeat the same commercials ad nauseum?
That used to drive me crazy

Ah, yes.. they mix the AAR commercials with the lame XM commercials over and over.

The part I hate most is that the music channels are broadcast at such a loud volume but the talk and news channels are so freaking quit. I can never find balance between the two - I have to constantly adjust the audio output.

If you e-mail XM, let them know that you'd like to see Pacifica programs (Like DN!) on the Public Radio stations also - I've been sending them e-mails but it'd be great to start up a campaign. I'd love more progressive shows on XM!

http://xmradio.com/contact_us/contact_us.jsp (You might try calling, however, because whenever I e-mail I just get a standard form saying "they get a lot of e-mail, can't respond to it all, blah blah blah". Try to call up Listener Care and get a real person to listen to you.

7. And some are so disgusting. And the repetition!
I push one button (Am/FM button), and I'm over at NPR, until I remember to switch back to AAR. The thing is: AAR has prospered despite the RW predictions that it would founder -- but at what a cost.
