4. I'd love for that to happen.
He's even too liberal for most Utahns because of his stance on abortion. Anyone more liberal than him would lose in a landslide. The only reason he's been able to win is because of his father, who was Utah's most popular governor ever (also a Democrat).

It's too bad the state ripped up his district, because his old district probably could have ran and elected a progressive Democrat. Now it incorporates most of rural Utah...which is dominated by right-wing fascist Republicans.

10. I would advise against telling the editor about the ball-licking, however.
I mean, it depends on what kind of paper you're talking about.

7. I'm with you on that one, K8-EEE...
have you been following our conversations(in the CA area) on Feinstein and her multitude of betrayals to us and Democracy?

She sucks! She'll never get another vote from me!

9. So here's the $64,000 Question... (because I agree with you two)
Who do we run instead of DiFi?

It's too bad we can't just clone Boxer.

14. Back in the day, even Bill Orton wouldn't vote for NAFTA...
the Unions in Carbon County would have fried him. After the gerrymander its been a losing battle. I don't expect much out of Matheson, but this was one issue I thought he would tow the party line. He was listed as a no-vote initially, but must have changed it when it was obvious that it would pass. It wont matter after the next election, he'll never win.

17. I agree....
Though I was surprised at how large he beat Swallow in last year's election. I think our only hope is the 4th district which will probably be within Salt Lake County.

19. The Republican's will never concede a house seat...
They will carve Salt Lake City and County into 4 quarters, starting with U of U and radiating outward. I'd like to believe that there is some shred of hope to be had, but I'm past that. Utah County voted for Bush by a 9 to 1 margin, it's time to leave.

20. Salt Lake City needs to become its own state.
We could elect Rocky as the governor and break the neighborhoods up into "cities". You could have SugarHouse City, Rose Park City, Glendale City, Capitol City, Central City, West City, East Bench City.

That's a state that would ALWAYS go Democratic! :D
