2. I have long preferred the "foreign press" |
The governments of Europe, etc. have been the target of attack from within for centuries - they are used to it AND they expect and basically sanction it. It let's the politicians know what the people are thinking. We have the most arrogant, rude, disgusting, obnoxious, prick of a "leader" we have ever had and for some reason the common thought is criticism is "unChristian." The foreign press tells it like it is.

4. even the foreign press is censored |
They're basically saying Bush is a wannabe Hitler all over Europe, but this appears nowhere in their press. In fact, the "Same s**t, different ***hole" poster originated in Turkey. Three years ago, an Australian said "Bush is a fascist dictator" to me in Canada, and this was generally met with nods and grim concern by an audience of people from numerous different countries (France, Germany, New Zealand, Canada, the UK, etc.).
The criticism I hear coming out of Western European individuals is vastly harsher than the most vehement critiques of the Muslim press (basically, since Rudallah Khomeini called the US the "Great Satan," and possibly even harsher than Khomeini).

5. Don't forget all the podcasts at iTunes -- news/views from horse's mouth. |
you don't need the media to mediate your understanding of the facts anymore.
