Bush gives middle finger to Senate Dems again! (Bolton)
Edited on Mon Aug-01-05 10:14 AM by quinnox
That's it, this should mean total war! Senate Dems should not cooperate AT ALL with any future legislation that Frist and Bush put forward. This last session that just ended should be the high water mark and the last "accomplishment" of the Bush administration.

Delay, delay, delay, and when that doesn't work then well - walk out of the Senate!! SHUT IT DOWN

1. well....
That will certainly help the country. We are paying senators a cushy salary. I'd at least like them to do some work while they are there.

2. They wanted him to do it.
They know the one thing shrub can't stand is to be told what to do. The other day when they "warned" him about appointing bolton I think they new exactly what his reaction would be.
I think they have dirt on this guy and it's going to turn out being a major embarrassment for shrub.
Hah, maybe wishful thinking.

6. Yeah, I'm sure they have major dirt on him
But none of it will stick. At all.

So it won't really be an embarassment to Shrub

4. Unfortunately, just Dems walking out won't shut it down
A quorum (of republicans) would still exist. They'd just pass whatever boosh* wants without even token opposition (as if that isn't what they've been doing anyway).

I think the country might be better served by the Democrats hanging around and throwing as much sand as possible into the gears of Commander Codpiece's "agenda." (If they'll only DO it!)

5. Anybody think sending Senate Dems tubes of
KY or Vaseline is a good idea?

Hubby said he couldn't believe that * could have the gall to appoint Bolton. I reminded him that there are nothing but crooks (Crooks with no conscience and crooks with some conscience) in DC and exactly who is gonna stop him? None of them have the guts to step out of their party line even when they know it's right, and our guys don't even HAVE a party line to step out of.
