No More Elections Until Verifiable Voting
That's it people. You want honesty, integrity and a REAL Democracy? Demand verifiable voting and until we get that, we denounce elections as illegitate.

Fuck the political games.

11. Voting is in and of itself a protest
If you believe the thing is rigged go to your polling station and let them know that and be vocal about it. But vote nonetheless.

2. i've been doing that for months and months now
every once in awhile i send a little email to various senators asking what they are doing to ensure an honest election and vote count.

i return solicitations for money with notes about verifiable voting, telling them they don't get any more money from me until the broken system is fixed.

i threaten not to bother voting (why should i if the votes are not counted) but i probably would vote anyway.

3. A word about refusing to vote....
They'll just count the votes of those who do, and declare the Repug the winner, anyway.

4. No - ignore the GOP control of the voting machines and media -
the DLC wants us to run a centrist next time, because Gore and Kerry were too far left to win.

Others say we need to run someone even further left than the most liberal nominee of the last 50 years because he wasn't far enough left to win.

Others say the man who decisively won all three debates was a poor candidate.

Then there are OTHERS who know that NOTHING will change for ANY Democratic candidate until the DNC deals with and exposes the GOP control over most of the broadcast media and the voting machines.

It is the DNC's job to ensure fair elections for ALL Dem candidates on every ballot. I trust Dean to take these issues on.....he must know by now their level of deceit.

8. ignore the GOP control of the voting machines in trans-like state of mind
you'll have personal satisfaction of thinking your vote was counted but not for knowing for whom??

5. what about
organizing groups to set up election booths and to hand out paper ballots in every precinct as an alternative election, or even a check, on the corrupt machine elections?

10. Maybe we should start a "No More Voting" Party and run a candidate.
Our platform would be one plank only:

VOTER-VERIFIED PAPER BALLOTS AND REQUIRED AUDITS FOR ALL ELECTIONS.

And we will not

--vote until we are assured that the elections are verifiable.

--donate any money to any political cause until elections are verifiable.

--buy or contribute to, in any way, any party, candidate, pundit, good or service, etc. that supports the status quo of rigged elections and cyber-democracy.
