Should we start a DU "Free Marc Emery" movement?
I mean, all this guy did was export seeds to the U.S.
For background to those who may not know, Emery is a Canadian pot "activist" and leader of the B.C. Marijuanna party.
He was arrested by Canadian police on a request from the US DEA. He will no go through an extradition hearing, he's facing up to ten years in a U.S. prison for selling seeds over one of the internets.

Personally I don't know if I feel anything has been done to him that shouldn't be. He knew what he was doing was illegal. The US are good friends of Canada and if one of ours does something like this I think it is important to extradite.
If a guy in the states was selling illegal weapons to Canadians up here, I'd like to know we could have him sent over and charged.

1. Canada should refuse extradition to the US until human rights get fixed

2. Emery owns pot-tv and Cannabis Culture Magazine
Well, Emery has a big head saying "I am the marijuana movement." He may well be the most visible person in the Free Cannabis movement. Pot-tv is an example of what people can do with video on the Internet- http://pot.tv/ Cannabis Culture is a popular magazine in Canada and it gets mentioned all the time on the Internet because it may well be the most influential publication in English on cannabis culture- http://www.cannabisculture.com/

Not only can I not imagine Emery not going to prison, I cannot see how he will ever get out of prison alive. It is a big deal in Canada. It prompted a person of a small party to write an excellent take on reality- http://www.medpot.net/forums/index.php?s=44ce31f311fb1e76a9879f9cbbcd7fad&showtopic=23962&st=0&#entry35225

Emery has been the subject of most of the conversation at CannabisNews the last few days- http://cannabisnews.com/ He is in deep do-do now. That is for sure.
