1. I like all but the first one.
"No human being is illegal" just seems silly. Acts are illegal, not beings.

5. yeah bogus
The AFL-CIO wants anmesty which is really stupid. They think they are going to get these people in their unions, but that's bogus because illegals were used to bust their unions, esp. meat packing and construction and hotel.

This is a major issue within labor groups and this goes against labor economics.

6. I had no idea!
My gut reaction would be that the AFL-CIO would oppose amnesty. I see their logic, but I think it is flawed.

8. me too, I think they are making a big mistake
although the more I look into the details I am starting to think
that amnesty is better than "guest worker VISA"...
for those are controlled by corporations, by-pass workers rights, any sense of security and I'm now wondering if they are going to by-pass
minimum wage laws.

I think the unions are nuts, but it's unclear if this is the SIEU
who just split or truly the AFL-CIO who pushed for this.
