We have a wonderful progressive Radio network out there called Air America Radio. It is awesome to finally have a whole network devoted to speaking truth to power. It has a wide variety of talk show hosts each with their own unique style. Personally I have listend to and love listening to them all. They all have their quirks and shortcommings, but are still better than anything else out there IMO.

True not every style appeals to every progressive, but they all speak the truth and its refreshing not to have to fact check every other word they say, unlike some radio shows I won't mention here. IF you don't like the style of a particular host don't listen to them, change the channel or play some music, but don't ask that those of us who do find that particular host a fresh breath of air to do without.

We need every Al Frankin, Randi Rhodes, Malloy and Sam we can get our hands on and get them on the air. The more we have and the more styles we have the more people we actually reach and can begin to rehab.

If none them work for you get off you duff and start your own radio show.

5. I respect all that you say......but...

.....at least from my perspective, I'd like it a lot better if Franken
was able to express himself with a little more shine, in fact a little more glibness. It's radio, theatre of the mind, and you have to keep people hanging on your every word, make every word count. That's all I'm saying. I am with him, I like him, a lot. Just some friendly advice for the guy. If he could maybe tear at least the corner off a page from Randi Rhodes, you know, pick up the pace a little, deliver his message as though he were knocking on your door and demanding you come outside and hear him out.

It's only a stylistic thing...purely a wish for him to sound more confident, more polished, more authoritative. Again, not knocking his message....just how he delivers it. And I think he makes a great guest, seems more relaxed, more effusive, when he's the one answering the questions and not asking.

As for AAR in general....I love it, thank God for it.

6. I agree with you...

Progressive radio is a golden goose. But it will take time. We shoud be careful not to kill it but we should nourish it, in my opinion.
