He said "I'd pick allen because REAL MEN wear cowboy hats n boots and chew tobacco"

I was a weee bit offended..... My beau the commie and more importantly MY DADDY never wore any of those things OR chewed tobacco.... both extremely liberal and every bit the REAL MEN.

And, I'm probably more of a man now then I was when I did wear a cowboy hat etc. It's all relative. You can play dressup all you want but that doesn't mean you have any mettle in you whatsoever.

I'm thinking about running for office too. Well, actually I am going to run for office. I won't be wearing a cowboy hat, don't need to act tough. I am tough, haha. And, just like your Dad and Beau, I'm a real man too, which is more than guys like George Allen and your freeper friend can say for themselves. :)

Yes, "real man" Allen, born in an affluent burb in California to a wealthy family, and while "girlie men" like Kerry were getting their asses shot at in 'Nam, Allen was attending the exclusive UVA Law School.

Repukes like Bush and Allen are just posers and I'm surprised all it takes is a cowboy hat and boots to fool so many men out there into thinking they're "one of the guys". (Of course, it works in country music, too, so why not politics?) There's nothing about either Dubya or Allen that connects within a light year of the average Joe.

George Allen was in my high school graduating class in Palos Verdes, CA back in 1970. He had Confederate flag bumper stickers all over his car even then - probably the only kid in So. Calif. to identify with the Confederacy. But he showed his even truer colors when he spray painted anti-white graffiti all over the walls of the school one weekend to make it look like the work of blacks and stir up some racial hatred. He was caught and had to publically apologize. Later on he displayed a noose in his law office. So, yes, he has a long history of racism.
