WASHINGTON – Intelligence gathered from captured al-Qaida documents and interrogations of captured operatives has provided the U.S. with some specific information about Osama bin Laden's favored dates for his decade-long plan for an "American Hiroshima" nuclear terrorist attack – and one of those dates arrives this week.

One of the most frequently cited dates is Aug. 6, the anniversary of the U.S. nuclear bombing of Hiroshima. Saturday marks the 60th anniversary of that attack, so this Aug. 6 would have special significance, reports Joseph Farah's G2 Bulletin, the premium, online intelligence newsletter that has broken several major stories tracking al-Qaida's nuclear terrorism plans.

An amateur sleuth, Michael Matuszak, points out, for instance, that Saturday would also mark the 1,426 days since Sept. 11, 2001. He points out that, in the Islamic calendar, this is the year 1426 – and that Aug. 6 would be the first day of the seventh month, the exact midway point of the year 1426.

"It is as if Bin Laden started by scheduling 'American Hiroshima' for 8-6-2005 and then worked backwards to arrive at 9-11-2001 as the precursor," he speculates.

As far as this article goes, well it is WorldNetDaily, just one step above Weekly World News, but still and all, I wouldn't be suprised. And if this does go down, well kiss America goodbye. 24. That's about my take EXCEPT remember: The majority of US...

citizens are fairly liberal in their opinions - not that the media would remind us of this. No, while I think a nuclear attack on US soil would almost certainly lead to Martial Law in many places, the whole 'Gitmo Roundup' thing is just to intimidate the opposition into silence.

That being said, the "Patriot" laws do address a concern of theirs: It would be fairly inevitable that months or years after such an attack, a small but violent minority would emerge that would want to overthrow a government they might see as complicit in such an attack. Those are the folks who are destined for Gitmo.

I have watched as slowly, but surely, liberals and intellectuals are degraded and demonized over the past twenty years. The speed of this has picked up greatly since Bushco gained office, and quite frankly I think that if Bushco's wet dream came true and martial law was declared, much like under Hitler's regime, the detainments would begin with the liberals and intellectuals, whom the right now despise with their whole being.
