need some support for Brit Hume "time to buy" quote |
|
A few weeks back, I had a LTTE published expressing my disgust with Faux News over Brit Hume's quote about thinking it was a good time to buy stocks after the terror attack in London a few weeks back. I also had the quote from the guy that said the terror attacks were good because it took global warming off the front page.
Somebody responded today with how I had taken Brit & the other guy out of context. Hume had been asked specifically about the stock market, this guy said, and the other quote was similarly out of context.
Now, I'm pretty sure I'm right and then Hume is just going back and trying to change history... but, I'm a big boy & will admit it when I'm wrong.
Anybody got support either way?
Thanks

My first thought when I heard - just on a personal basis, when I heard there had been this attack and I saw the futures this morning, which were really in the tank, I thought, 'Hmmm, time to buy.
Key Words "when I heard there had been this attack" How can anyone in their right mind read anything different? He directly related terrorism to making a profit in stocks. That is inhuman to consider the death of 59 people in such a heartless manner.
This is the Carl Rove tactic “it depends on your definition of”.
He is just word parsing by the sounds of it.
