Josh on majority report now about Ohio
Says that he began the day early walking around and meeting people and he voted with his family around 9am. Thanked volunteers at the campaign office. It's been a wild day. No exit polls or any hard data from the race. No public polls released or conducted by the major newspapers there. It's been really quiet. Only election on the ballot. Some places have minor parts about spending. Exit polling is rather expensive and nobody was geared up and nobody realized this would be a big race. Putting your money up and driving people to the polls is more valuable then exit polls since the area is real republican. If Cinncinatti (the edge of Hamilton county) was just alone voting it would be a land slide for Hackett. The further east you go the more conservative it is. The results will be put up on the Majority report blog. Josh will check in the next hour.

3. Keep in mind the district has voted 65% to 70% Republican for 20 yrs
And poll watchers are in place.

I am curious to see how this plays out. There have been rumors that Hackett was polling 5 points behind or even within the margin of error, but I have not been able to find a published poll about this race. (If somebody could post a link to an actual poll - - not a post saying "I heard from somebody high up in the Dem Party/GOP/Hackett Campaign that... ", I'd appreciate it.)

2. We still have Randi on in Az, and she had Josh on
In fact, we don't even get the majority report in AZ.

We have a great local guy on instead. But I used to get to listen to Majority report on Sirius - grrr.

That was off topic!

I'm so glad that they are watching things in Ohio.
I so nervous and excited about this.

5. A caller called in and said
that Schmdit was standing outside the booth greeting people. At 7:30 she ran into the church (the voting place). Very interesting. Does this happen in Ohio?
