9. Impressive That It's Close...
I also worry that just means the Bastards will have to actually do something to insure their win. They will do whatever is necessary to win, and I'm fearful for our country because of it.

I pray Hackett pulls this out with a clear victory, but I'm concerned about the closeness. This is Ohio.

13. If he wins will you and the other tinhat fools stop talking about "them"?
Or will you continue to see boogymen and phantom reasons?

15. Not completely
This district is not using Diebold machines. I think they are using punch card or optical ballots. Much harder to screw with these.

4. Well, alrighty, then. I'll be able to be happy until
the fuckers figure out how to steal this one.

If they do, I won't be surprised.

If they can't, I'll have some measure of faith in my country restored.

8. This looks much like the results patterns in Ohio between....
....Bush and Kerry last November. Didn't Kerry lead by a 1% margin for most of the counting, then Bush zoomed ahead?

14. To be fair, NO
Regardless of whether there was fraud or not, I have very vivid memories of monitoring the Ohio and Florida results like a hawk. Kerry consistently was trailing Bush in the Ohio totals by a couple points. I kept waiting for Kerry to surge ahead and he never did. Just before Florida was called for Bush was when I knew we were in trouble - I figured if we lost Florida all would be well if we grabbed Ohio, but instead the Ohio numbers were static.

19. Really, I though exit polls showed Kerry ahead in both states
...while only the early returns showed him to be leading, then Bush surged. What were all of the exit poll vs vote count battles all about then?

24. Exit polls showed him ahead
Before the counted results came in.

The exit polls showed him ahead, but they leaked BEFORE the results began to come in. Kerry may have led EXTREMELY initially in the counted results, but very quickly Bush wound up with a 1 or 2 point lead that did not disappear, much as I kept hoping.

I vividly remember refreshing various vote-counting websites repeatedly, thinking it would change.

29. Now I feel guilty and everyone else should too...
If my $20 donation had been $200, could it have made all the difference in this neck to neck election? Maybe we should consider this and learn from it in 2006. I know, money shouldn't matter, but it does help the boots on the ground to cover more territory.

30. I should feel guilty because
Bush has been raping me for the last 5 years to the point where I don't have much money to donate? Sorry TFF, we do what we can, after we take care of our families.
