Ambushed Marines might have been set up
From an MSNBC article:

"For U.S. military officials, the deaths of the six Marines killed in action Monday raises an unsettling prospect: that they may have been victims of someone with inside information.

Officials report the sniper teams were working together and in position when they were ambushed by an unknown number of insurgents.

Marines nearby heard the short, heavy burst of enemy gunfire that apparently killed five of the Marine snipers instantly. Evidence indicates the attack came so quickly the Marines were unable to return fire.

The sixth Marine either escaped or was taken prisoner but was later found dead a mile or so from the scene of the attack.

The attack is eerily similar to one in nearby Ramadi more than a year ago, when four Marine snipers were ambushed and killed. "

My deepest sympathies.

2. People think the longer the US military is in country
The less success the enemy will have, which is not the case.

The enemy who was at first overwhelmed will become calmer and wiser. They will watch and observe, learning unit S.O.P.'s, schedules, call signs, radio frequency's, strengths and weaknesses when engaged.
And of course they will infiltrate the American Bases, they will have lots of eyes inside the compounds.

The Vietnam soldiers mind fuck of not being able to distinguish friend from foe will set in.
In the soldiers mind they all become the enemy.
Abuse and torture of prisoners becomes commonplace, killing of non-combatants becomes routine and accepted.

These guys are going to have mental and emotional problems the rest of their lives.

What a stupid situation for our country to be in.

chimp stunts for the camera flys in, then delivers his speech,"I'm proud to announce that MAJOR COMBAT operations in Iraq are over" ,behind the chimp was a very large and conspicuous banner reading,"MISSION ACCOMPLISHED".....2 short years later and 8-10 MAJOR OPERATIONS Cheney would say,"Insurgents are in their last throes" we're winning ...If the Bush Crime Family was willing to allow up to 30,000 NYC residents on 911, 1806 dead soldiers, who in fact turns out they died in war based on lies.Look who owns our country..Carlyle Group,Halliburton and the biggest corporation of all the Pentagon..All Pnac-ers,All neocons and All corrupt...Building 6 massive military bases tells me america will be there until the crude runs dry or their are no more americans left to fight bush's war for oil.
