Vice president vacationing, fishing in Montana
Vice president vacationing, fishing in Montana

By The Associated Press Wednesday, August 03, 2005

BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) -- Vice President Dick Cheney is vacationing in southeastern Montana, starting with some fishing on the Big Horn River.

The Big Horn Angler fly shop in Fort Smith sold some trout flies to Secret Service agents.

"They came in a couple days prior to his arrival and floated the river," said Glenn Strickland, manager of the fly shop.

Cheney arrived in Billings on Air Force Two on Monday morning. The plane remains at Billings Logan International Airport, along with a C-17 cargo plane and several helicopters. It's unclear how long the vice president will be in Montana.

1. WTF? Who the hell is minding the shop? This is ridiculous.
They just don't give a damn. Period. They are simply "imposters" posing as Americans. It sickens me.

10. What are you taking about? This is exactly what they did in August 2001.
Cheney took a month long vacation in Wyoming in August 2001 too. They both got out of town back then because they knew OBL was coming here.

3. Same as the fat coward was doing during Vietnam - fishing & drinking
while a war was going on. Nothing like our brave draft dodgers leading by example.

4. No kidding. It's enough to make your skin crawl!
These imposters, posing as Americans, could give a damn about our country. They are shameless cowards.

Peace.

7. What the hell? Isn't it a bit odd...
For both a Prez an VP to be vacationing away from DC at the same time?

Jeeze, they don't even try to put up a front anymore. I'll bet there are thousands of soldiers and marines right now in Iraq who wouldn't mind a bit of a vacation themselves.

WASHINGTON (AP) - Vice President Dick Cheney will lead the American delegation to Saudi Arabia to pay respects after the death of King Fahd and the accession of King Abdullah.

President Bush's father, former President George H.W. Bush, also will be in the delegation, along with Gen. Peter Pace, vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, former Secretary of State Colin Powell, and James Oberwetter, the U.S. ambassador to Saudi Arabia.

Cheney is to leave Washington on Wednesday evening and return early Friday.

Fahd was buried in an unmarked desert grave Tuesday in accordance with the kingdom's austere version of Islam.
