Something tonight was on Malloy about would you want to name this horrific bomb in your 'mom's name. "ENOLA GAY".. Here Mom, I do it for you. I, as as mom, would just want to die.

if there'd been no Nanking, Singapore, Pearl Harbor, Corregidor, Manila, etc. etc. etc. Admiral Yamamoto was correct: they awakened a sleeping giant and filled it with a terrible resolve. I sincerely believe that the Japanese military command, who actually ran the country, would've never surrendered to America, no matter the civilian casualties. Remember, they were training women and children to use bamboo spears to charge amphibious landed infantrymen.
