OTTAWA (CP) _ Television host Michaelle Jean to be next governor general, CTV and Global networks report.


OTTAWA -- There are reports a Montreal journalist will be Canada's next governor general.
Global News and C-T-V report Michaelle Jean will be appointed to the position tomorrow by Prime Minister Martin.
Jean is the current host of C-B-C programs ``The Passionate Eye'' and ``Rough Cuts.''
The 48-year-old Jean was born in Port Au Prince. Haiti.
She's the second woman in a row who has been appointed governor general.
